Summary:


This position will support the Program Manager in the execution of the RPA SOC Program.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:



  • The Network Technician is responsible for the installation and cabling of Server Room Equipment at various customer locations.

  • Assembles and installs equipment, per detailed drawings, to include workstations, servers, switches, routers, audio-visual, and ancillary equipment.

  • Install cables, maintaining enclave separation per cable color and Velcro cables in an appropriate manner.

  • Performs functional testing and diagnostic procedures on equipment according to published equipment standards, all with little or no support.

  • Utilizes troubleshooting and fault isolation techniques to isolate and resolve system and customer issues during initial implementation.

  • Perform thirty-day power up and functioning test on new equipment that arrives in the Warehouse.

  • For site installation preparation assists in inventorying, assembling subassemblies into equipment, sorting and labeling cables and organizing pallets in the warehouse kitting area.

  • Test Equipment Kit/Palletize Equipment Rack Mounts Equipment Grounds Equipment Install/Dress Fiber/ Cables Install/Test Video Configure Desk Racks Fabricate CAT6 Dress Desk Cables Virtual Troubleshoot Serial Number Log Update Drawings Cable/Equipment Labeling Review Site Drawings Review Site Ship-List Function Testing (Workstations/Servers)

Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Ability to work under a deadline, pressure, handle stress and deliver professional results Long hours and weekends may be required to meet deliverables Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of job-related tools and applications as well as strong detail to neatness

  • Experience with ATM, IP transport and Cisco products required

  • Strong written and oral communication skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail

  • Self-motivated with minimal oversight

  • Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

  • Sit or Stand throughout a regular workday

  • Ability to work on computers for long periods of time

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 4-6 years of job-related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must have and be willing to maintain CompTIA SEC+ CE certifications
  • Must hold an active Top Secret (TS) security clearance and be eligible for Sensitive Compartment Information (SCI)
  • Travel is required (40 to 50%) Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Desire candidate to hold one or more of the following certifications: CompTIA Network+ or A+ Certification is a strong plus

The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $80,000 annually
