Summary:

 

Goldbelt C6, LLC is seeking a Data Analyst to provide program support, technical evaluation expertise, and services for activities related to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion, Division of Diabetes Translation and the Translation, Health Education and Evaluation Branch mission. 

 

** This is a remote position, but you MUST be within an hour commute to Atlanta, GA**

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

  • Perform complex analytical studies (qualitative and quantitative analysis) and interpretation of results to coordinate the evaluation of programs and recommend improvements.
  • Assist staff with developing and implementing the Translation, Health Education, and Evaluation Branch program evaluation.
  • Assist staff with developing and implementing performance improvement, monitoring, data collection, cleaning, analysis, and process improvement.
  • Explain and justify recommendations, represent the agency, and assigned program or project areas, provide guidance, and advise program administrators and community members.
  • Respond to inquiries and interact with high-level officials and public and private health organization representatives. 

 

Qualifications

Necessary Skills & Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of the principles, concepts, methods, and techniques of public health research and evaluation to analyze, evaluate, and provide expert advice and consultation.
  • Knowledge of the principles, methods, applications, and state-of-the-art technology in the position's scientific area of responsibility to provide direction and guidance on critical and complex issues.
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing to make clear, convincing presentations.
  • Knowledge of the rules, procedures, and principles that govern intramural and extramural program development, monitoring, and evaluation.
  • Highly proficient in using Microsoft Office Tools (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint).
  • Excellent judgment and decision-making; capable of working independently with ability to multitask successfully.
  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication in interpersonal exchanges.
  • Highly organized with great attention to detail.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Data Science, Public Health or closely related field with at least 4 years of related experience OR a master’s degree in a related field with 2 years of related experience, or high school diploma/equivalent with at least 8 years of related and demonstrated work experience.
  • 3 – 5 years of experience providing public health data analysis and manipulating, cleaning, and reporting data using a variety of statistical functions.
  • Highly proficient in using various statistical software (SAS, R, Python, etc.)
  • Knowledge of data management systems and application of data management software
  • Previous experience working with the government procedures and guidelines.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Statistics, Data Science, Public Health, or related field.
  • Advanced skills in generating SAS-based reports using various methods (e.g., PROC REPORT, PROC TABULATE).
  • Advanced EXCEL skills, including PivotTables, conditional formatting, data visualization, and data validation.
  • Prior experience working with the CDC is highly desired to understand the culture and environment.

 

The salary range for this position is $60,000 to $75,000 per year.
