Summary:

We are looking for a Navigational Engineering and Maintainability Support SME.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

  • Develop, propose, and aid in the execution of VTS system engineering solutions for the following activities:
    • Recapitalization efforts
    • Adaptive Maintenance
    • System components integration
    • New installations
    • Software updates and upgrades
    • Site Relocations
    • Form, fit and function upgrades
    • To implement changes to CG policy
    • To mitigate cybersecurity vulnerabilities
  • Evaluate and prepare reports and proposals in response to recommendations based on Form, Fit and Function, providing technical recommendations for integration of new equipment within the current VTS architecture.
  • Assist in completing site surveys as required to maintain system documentation and in preparation for system installation and de-installation. 
  • Assist in the preparation of installation design plans for new VTS system equipment installations and for adaptive maintenance installation and deployment.
  • Perform equipment installs, which includes optimizing, configuring, and installing VTS hardware, software, firmware, and cabling per CG, manufacturer, and industry standards. 
  • Draft test plans, regression testing, executing Government approved test plans, and reporting test results in accordance with the defined schedule.
  • Prepare VTS system documentation by drafting, reviewing and editing COR assigned VTS documentation.
  • Develop and maintain system design documentation for each VTS system. The system design documentation shall include a description of the system’s design, architecture, file and database design, human machine interfaces, external interfaces, and integrity controls.

Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Experienced with the Microsoft Office Suite products Word, PowerPoint and Excel

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, GED or related experience
  • Five (5) years’ experience developing, installing, loading, configuring, networking, optimizing, testing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and integrating the following types of devices or similar:
    • AIS Systems. AISM0-204-01 Transponder Base Station, Power Supply, network interface, GPS Antenna, Lighting protection, and VHF Antenna
    • Camera/INVS/SCCCS: FLIR Video Management System, Video Sensor System Cambium Microwave System, Operator Workstation and user interface, Network Interface, S1801E and S1801E-R Video Encoder and Decoder, Camera (Pelco Esprit or similar), and Camera (Avigilon H5A-PTZ or similar).
  • APAP UPS EMS: UPS, PDU, and EMS systems.
  • IAT Level II qualified
  • CG PUMP qualified.
  • Tower Climber Qualified
  • Active Secret clearance 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
