Summary: 

Goldbelt C6, LLC., is seeking a responsible and professional Statistician III to provide information management support services to the CDC’s Division of Healthcare Quality Promotion (DHQP). This support is to help enhance infection control practices and ensure related and interdependent functions and disciplines are incorporated throughout tasks to contribute to achieving DHQP’s mission and program goals.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

  • Utilize research methodology and data collection tools to ensure that appropriate data is gathered.
  • Design and maintain databases for management, including SAS, SUDAAN Access, and Excel.
  • Conduct data analyses including descriptive statistics, factor analyses, and various regression models.
  • Extract data from sources including the National Healthcare Safety Network for analysis.
  • Prepare preliminary interpretations of analyses for sharing with scientific and public audiences, project teams, and/or department management.
  • Prepare reports in accordance with the analytical results, including providing support for the development of manuscripts.
  • Perform statistical analysis of complex surveillance using large data sets, including techniques for merging datasets from diverse sources and established statistical methodologies in the health sciences.

Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Proven ability to work effectively with a diverse set of government and commercial stakeholders on technical contracts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, leadership, teamwork, management, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent critical thinking skills and the ability to derive innovative solutions to complex problems.
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office Applications (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook).

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or related field.
  • Minimum three (3) or more years’ experience as a Statistician.
  • Minimum three (3) or more years’ experience in a Public Health Field
  • Experience with study design and analysis for prevention research, healthcare, and epidemiological studies.
  • Experience in the application and use of Statistical principles and programs.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain CDC Public Trust Clearance.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Business Administration, or related field.

The salary range for this position is $88,000.00-$95,000.00.
