Summary:

Enterprise Wide Training and Exercise Program, which provides support through four main lines of effort: Joint Training System implementation, Joint SOF HQ battle staff training, training readiness reporting, and support to Joint National Training Capability (JNTC) and Geographic Combatant Command (GCC) exercises. 

Essential Job Functions:

• Support the execution of exercises by conducting training via collective staff functional level seminars, Battle Staff Training (BST) events, Table-Top Exercises (TTX), Strategic Appreciation Seminars (SAS), Senior Leader Seminars (SLS), Command Post Exercises (CPX), Mission Rehearsal Exercises (MRX), Pre-Deployment Exercises (PDX) and Field Training Exercises (FTX).
• This training encompasses the SOF Core Activities in functional areas that included command and control, operations, plans, intelligence, sustainment, communications, information and knowledge management, information operations, cyberspace, fires, civil affairs, medical, and interagency coordination.
• During exercise execution, contractor Joint SOF Training SMEs provide relevant feedback and training to exercise participants.
• The contractor provides training support to approved requirements at Global Combatant Commands (GCC), Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOC), Joint Special Operations Task Forces (JSOTF) and Special Operations Joint Task Forces (SOJTF) locations.

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

• Demonstrated expert written and oral communication skills

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 8 years’ military experience in SOF or 10 years’ civilian experience in a SOF GO/FO HQ
• 3 years’ military experience as a commander, senior enlisted advisor, or primary staff billet in a SOF (USSOCOM/TSOC), Service, Joint Staff, OSD, or 3-4 Star level Service/CCMD HQs - - 5 years’ experience with the Joint Training System
• 4 years’ experience in operational or strategic level planning and operations
• 4 years’ military experience in operations, intelligence, command and control, plans, sustainment, logistics, communications, information and knowledge management, information operations, cyberspace, fires, civil affairs, medical, or interagency coordination
• 4 years’ experience with the Adaptive Planning and Execution System (APEX) and Joint Operational Planning Process (JOPP)
• 4 years’ experience directly interfacing with senior staff (O5/O6 and GO/FO) at the TSOCs, Components, CCMDs, Services, or Interagency
• Current DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field
