Summary:

We are looking for a Senior SOF Subject Matter Expert to support the USSOCOM Enterprise Wide Training and Exercise Program, which provides support through four main lines of effort: Joint Training System implementation, Joint SOF HQ battle staff training, training readiness reporting, and support to Joint National Training Capability (JNTC) and Geographic Combatant Command (GCC) exercises. 

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

  • Support the development of advice and recommendations to senior ranking military commanders, Office of the Secretary of Defense, and senior military and civilian leadership of partner and allied nations.
  • The advice and recommendations will include, but is not limited to, SOF operations, interagency coordination, SOF employment, and Service and National strategy, plans, policy, and doctrine.

 

Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Expert written and oral communication skills.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 10 years’ military experience in SOF
  • 4 years’ experience with the National Mission Force
  • 4 years’ experience serving in a SOF operational level HQs or SOF Joint Task Force
  • 8 years’ experience developing SOF operational/strategic level products to support CCMD or TSOC SOF training and exercises 
  • 5 years’ experience with training and exercise development and implementation
  • Current DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
