Summary:

We are looking for a SOF Liaison to support the USSOCOM Enterprise Wide Training and Exercise Program, which provides support through four main lines of effort: Joint Training System implementation, Joint SOF HQ battle staff training, training readiness reporting, and support to Joint National Training Capability (JNTC) and Geographic Combatant Command (GCC) exercises. This position requires a deep understanding of SOF operations, exceptional interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in dynamic and high-stress environments. 

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact and liaison.
  • Support direct interaction with the Joint Staff J-7.
  • Direct interaction will include, but is not limited to, providing recommendations and advice regarding the management, oversight, and implementation of joint training and exercises for the Commandant Commander’s Exercise Engagement and Training Transformation Program (CE2T2).
  • Will provide USSOCOM recommendations to the Services and Joint Staff on the employment and integration of SOF and SOF core activities with Conventional Forces.
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with SOF personnel, understanding their unique needs and mission requirements.
  • Gather, analyze, and disseminate relevant intelligence and operational information to ensure both parties are well-informed.
  • Provide briefings and reports on SOF activities, developments, and requirements for organizational leadership.

Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong knowledge of SOF operations, tactics, and equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Expert written and oral communication skills.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 15 years’ military experience in SOF
  • 4 years’ experience advising GO/FOs or senior civilian executives
  • 4 years’ experience serving in a SOF operational level HQs or SOF Joint Task Force
  • 8 years’ experience developing SOF operational/strategic level products to support CCMD or TSOC SOF training and exercises 
  • 5 years’ experience with training and exercise development and implementation
    Current DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
  • Ability to travel.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Military experience or relevant training is highly preferred.
