Summary:

Nisga'a Data Systems is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer in either Sterling, VA or Rockville, MD.

This program provides systems and security engineering and integration support to specific Government-sponsored projects, pilots and prototypes. This includes solution planning and engineering, defining security requirements, target architecture, interoperability and integration, system testing, Verification and Validation, studies and analysis, post-deployment security validation (PDSV), and project risk management. As part of this team, you will contribute to the engineering of current and emerging cybersecurity systems, policies, and processes to enforce standards and identify vulnerabilities and capability gaps and reduce cybersecurity risk of our customer networks.

Hybrid Remote Eligible, MUST be located near either Dulles, VA, or Rockville, MD. to qualify. 

Essential Job Functions:

• Work in a collaborative environment and interact with software developers, systems users, program management teams, and/or development contractors.
• Provide support with cloud infrastructure technology, implementation, and/or migration of legacy systems and/or software to cloud environments.
• Provide support identifying, documenting, analyzing, and/or coordinating software intensive system requirements.
• Perform analyses of alternatives to determine best value to the government for potential technologies and/or solution architectures.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum seven (7) plus years of experience in system engineering or equivalent role
• Active Secret clearance

• Experience working in an Agile environment and with Agile tools
• Experience in Project Management
• DHS EOD

The salary range for this position is $115,000/yr. to $125,000/yr.
