Summary:

Goldbelt Glacier Health Services is seeking Registered Dietitian in Japan. 

Responsibilities

Essential Job Duties:

  • Provide education of patient and family in lifestyle modifications for factors given above. Provide liaison between physician, nursing care, and nutritional services.
  • Review Health Enrollment Assessment Review (HEAR) reports and PCM reports for high risk and frequent users of health care. Contact these patients to schedule education opportunities in a classroom format, in one on one appointments, or through other appropriate means. 
  • Review HEAR Reports and PCM reports for delinquent preventive services, contact the patient, and schedule an appointment for the clinical preventive service.
  • Ensure that all enrollees receive their clinical preventive services at recommended age intervals. Use the HEAR group data to determine the health risk of the population and how to improve the overall health of the enrolled population.
  • Educate the enrolled population about the Healthwise handbook and how to use it for home care.
  • Use the PPIP Flow Sheet DD2766 medical records form for documenting clinical preventive services.
  • Provide health promotion and education opportunities including, but not limited to, tobacco awareness; tobacco cessation classes or appointments consistent with the MTF tobacco cessation program; and nutrition education and weight management. 

Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Perform nutritional assessment, evaluation, and modification of nutrients. 

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Completed a minimum of a bachelor’s degree at a U.S. regionally accredited university or college or foreign equivalent, and coursework through an Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) accredited Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) or Coordinated Program in Dietetics (CP).
  • Completed 1200 hours of supervised practice through an ACEND accredited Dietetic Internship, Coordinated Program in Dietetics or an Individualized Supervised Practice Pathway (ISPP) offered through an ACEND accredited program.
  • Possess and maintain a current registration as a Registered Dietitian (RD) from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (formerly the American Dietetic Association).
  • Possess and maintain a valid, unrestricted license/certification/registration to practice as a Registered Dietitian (RD) in any one of the fifty states, the District of ColuC.
