Summary:

The Clearance Coordinator will support the Division of STD Prevention (DSTDP) at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. This position shall support scientific reviews and clearance of manuscripts and research studies.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

  • Develop the non-research/research project determination and scientific compliance documentation for submission to CDC science officers for review and approval.
  • Develop project evaluation framework plans, and indicators to capture performance results and outcomes.
  • Develop data management approach and tools that are compliant with CDC software policies.
  • Perform tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong attention to detail and self-motivation.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop relationships with clients and personnel at all levels.
  • Ability to maintain a positive professional working relationship with management and co-workers.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently and prioritize assignments based on internal customer needs.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree or equivalent two-year business certificate or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Relevant contract experience preferred.
  • At least 3 -5 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to successfully pass a background check.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience working with the CDC is highly desired to understand the culture and environment.
