Summary:

Goldbelt Professional Services, LLC is seeking an Epidemiology Analyst to support the Influenza Clinical Epidemiology and Treatment Team, that is part of the Influenza Division of the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases (NCIRD). The position will be working at Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Roybal Campus in Atlanta, GA. The CDC is the nation's premier health promotion, prevention, and preparedness agency. The Epidemiology Analyst will report to Goldbelt Professional Services leadership to ensure the execution of timely, high-quality deliverables for the client.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

  • Conduct epidemiological analyses using SAS and/or R of data in support of vaccine effectiveness and clinical epidemiology projects.
  • Prepare influenza data for internal and external reporting.
  • Assist in development of data quality monitoring dashboard in Power BI for influenza research and surveillance platforms.
  • Run routine data quality reports to examine variation and trends in key indicators by reporting week and partner sites.
  • Develop internal CDC standard operating procedure for monitoring data quality.

Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong aptitude for processing, working with, and evaluating data from multiple sources.
  • Proficient with statistics including multivariable logistic regression; experience working with cohort datasets and survival analyses is a plus, as well as advanced methods including multiple imputation and propensity score methods.
  • Able to summarize analysis results, draws conclusions, and identifies potential recommendations.
  • Attention to detail is a must.
  • Must be able to follow protocol and process based on variables searches.
  • Ability to translate complex problems clearly and in nontechnical terms effectively internally and externally.
  • Must be capable of working with general guidance and with little to no supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to decipher and organize large databases of up to hundreds of thousands of medical encounters.
  • Great judgment and decision making, with strong analytical skills; business intuition and business acumen.
  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication in interpersonal exchanges.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Epidemiology, Public Health, or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in epidemiology including prior work with large datasets.
  • Proficient in using various statistical software (SAS and R preferred).
  • Highly detailed and organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain CDC Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience working with the CDC is highly desired to understand the culture and environment.

The salary range for this position is $95,000-$105,000 per year.
