Overview

Goldbelt Nighthawk designs develops and implements comprehensive solutions for problem spaces including computer security, Cloud implementations and migration, scalable architectures, advanced analytics, artificial intelligence, and network/data center operations. Specializing in incident response at the local and enterprise-wide levels as well as forensic analysis, our personnel deliver threat analysis and reporting while implementing solutions based on mature planning and development practices.

 

Summary:

 

The Project Manager will manage a team of Security Control Assessor – Representatives (SCA-Rs) reviewing System Security Plans, support the review process, perform tracking and reporting on metrics and deliverables, and assist with business process improvement efforts.

 

This is a Part-time position located in Quantico, VA with general working hours between 9:00am - 2:00pm. 

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

  • Maintain expert-level knowledge of all National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publication (SP) 800-53 Security Controls
  • Maintain working knowledge of Department of Defense (DoD), Defense Counterintelligence Security Agency (DCSA), and NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF) guidance and policies Build an internal capability that is increasingly risk-based and adaptive
  • Actively observe and understand current business practices
  • Develop approaches for promoting lessons learned and communication of outcomes Propose means or methods of streamlining activities
  • Outline functional areas of improvement, propose viable solutions, and determine technical methodologies
  • Establish a tracking mechanism for action items and maintain the tracker
  • Provide a monthly status report, containing an Executive Summary, information on significant activities, progress report, status of funding and personnel, lessons learned (when applicable)
  • As requested by the COR, organize meetings in support of this effort: Plan the meeting, including coordinating schedules of attendees, sending out “save the dates” via e-mail (if necessary), meeting invitations, agenda, and any documents necessary for the meeting
  • Coordinate with an alternate to act on behalf of the Contractor when the Project Manager is absent

Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Solid client service, time management and leadership skills as well as written and verbal communication skills
  • Program/project management experience leading teams in conducting analysis or security assessments, and review and/or development of system security plans
  • Expertise in the development and review of System Security Plans (SSPs)
  • Knowledge of the Defense Security Service (DSS) Assessment and Authorization Process Manual (DAAPM), RMF, NIST SP 800-53, and National Industrial Security Program (NISP)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Engineering preferred or equivalent years of experience.
  • At least eight years of hands-on cybersecurity and security analysis experience
  • Certified at IAT Level II (CCNA Security, CSA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP)
  • Secret clearance
  • Ability to pass an employer background check
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in a related field of study
