Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Deputy Program Manager to provide strategic oversight and management for the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response (ASPR) contract under the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). The Deputy Program Manager will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of consulting services, meeting client requirements, and driving project outcomes. This role requires strong leadership abilities, project management expertise, and a deep understanding of consulting methodologies.

 

 

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

  • Serves as project lead of specific consulting assignments, to include leading a team of consultants or subject matter experts.
  • Applies practical experience and theoretical knowledge and expertise to solution development.
  • Ensures the accomplishment of project activities and objectives.
  • Provides a broad range of consulting services, including program planning, strategy development, program execution, evaluation, and policy development. Utilizes experience and expertise to contribute to the development of deliverables.
  • Leads or assists in discussions and meetings with the client or project team.
  • Performs a variety of tasks that require both practical and experience and theoretical, state-of-the-art, technical knowledge in specialty areas.

 

 

Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members to achieve project goals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport, influence stakeholders, and facilitate effective collaboration.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies, with a focus on driving efficiency, quality, and client satisfaction.
  • Experience in a consulting environment or working with clients across various industries is desirable.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience
  • Proven experience in project management and consulting, with a track record of successfully leading and delivering consulting assignments.
  • Experience in a consulting environment or working with clients across various industries is desirable.
  • Ability to successfully pass a background check.
  • Expected to have the capability to travel to any disaster field office in the United States within a minimum of 1 week of notification

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, PgMP) is preferred.
  • Experience in government contracting or related industries is desirable.

 The salary for this position is $129,000.00-$178,767.00 annually.
