Summary:

The Business Intelligence Lead shall provide expert leadership and guidance in performance for DHS DSSS contract. It is expected that this key personnel position shall be responsible for supporting business intelligence operations with dashboards, standardized statistical dataset requirements, supporting dashboard and visualization governance, and collection and maintenance of visualization requirements for development.

Essential Job Functions:

• Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into BI solutions that deliver actionable insights and drive business value.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient BI dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using tools.
• Work closely with data engineers and analysts to acquire, clean, and transform data from multiple sources into usable formats for analysis and reporting.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across BI solutions, and implement best practices for data governance and quality assurance.
• Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for optimization, and communicate findings to stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner.
• Provide guidance and support to team members on BI tools and techniques, and promote knowledge sharing and collaboration within the organization.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in business intelligence and analytics and evaluate their potential impact on our BI strategy and capabilities.

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

• Expertise in BI tools and technologies such as Power BI, Tableau, QlikView, or similar platforms.
• Proficiency in SQL and database management concepts, with experience working with relational databases and data warehouses.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex datasets and derive actionable insights.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven leadership abilities, with experience leading and mentoring teams of BI professionals.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related degree.
• At least 5 years’ experience leading data visualization efforts.
• Ability to successfully pass a background check.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Post- Graduate Degree in Data Science, Statistics, or Machine Learning preferred.

The salary range for this position is $125,000 to $150,000 per year.
