Summary:

Goldbelt Apex LLC is recruiting for a contingent hire as a Data Engineer on the ‘Promoting and Supporting Innovation and ACF Data Capacity’ project for the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS)/Administration for Children and Families (ACF) Office of Planning, Research, and Evaluation (OPRE). This is an exciting opportunity to support several functional areas within OPRE's Division of Data and Improvement (DDI) as a member of the Goldbelt team.

 

This position is a hybrid position between remote and Washington, D.C.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

  • Leading the design and development of data collection and processing tools using existing ACF enterprise resources.
  • Advising on and directly configuring data extraction, load, and transformation pipelines. Advising on and developing data models that fit programmatic and operational needs.
  • APIs, combining datasets; and enhancing transactional data as relevant.
  • Experience coding for reproducible research and adhering to established coding style standards.

Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Fluent in at least SQL and one or more general programming languages such as Python or JavaScript.
  • Practiced with human-centered design and agile project delivery.
  • Strong communication (both verbally and in writing) and relationship skills.
  • Proven track record of working independently and overseeing projects with multiple stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree of higher in engineering, data architecture, or similar field OR equivalent years of experience.
  • Seven or more years’ experience working collaboratively with a data analysis/data science team.
  • US Citizenship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced Degree in applicable field.
  • Experience with Social Services data.

 

 The pay range for this position is $110,000.00– 160,000.00 annually.
