Goldbelt Apex, LLC is headquartered in Juneau, Alaska with offices in Herndon, Virginia.


 


Summary:


Goldbelt Apex, LLC is seeking a qualified candidate to serve as a Technical Writer for multiple disciplines to work with the Defense Health Agency.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:



  • Write a variety of technical documents, reports, and/or manuals for documentation for a wide range of uses

  • Review and proofread training deliverables to ensure accuracy and consistency of grammar mechanics and expressions, formatting, logical organization and development, and readability

  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance Functional Lead to develop standards and protocols with team members for project documentation

  • Maintain stylistic, notational, and organizational standards to unify communications May be responsible for coordinating the display of graphics and the production of the document Collaborate with

  • Design and Development teams to understand the creative context of training deliverables

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Necessary Skills & Knowledge:



  • Experience working in a military culture or environment Knowledge of the TRICARE benefit

  • Familiarity with DoD/DHA style guides

  • Ability to pivot, work independently but stay aligned, and collaborate as needed

  • Experience working in a learning and development organization

  • Experience with quality assurance as it relates to integrity and high quality of training deliverables

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Expert-level writing ability Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills

  • Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals

  • Ability to work under tight timelines and keep projects moving

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and incorporated programs to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams

  • Ability to troubleshoot basic computer hardware and software required for services being provided

  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multi-projects simultaneously


Minimum Qualifications:



  • Bachelor’s Degree in related discipline

  • Four (4) to six (6) years of experience in technical writing


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Master's Degree or certification

  • Four (4) to ten (10) years’ experience at this level should reflect performing all functional duties independently
