Summary:


The candidate will support the US Navy and the Integrated Undersea Surveillance Systems (IUSS) Logistics Support Facility team. The Software Engineer will develop, maintain and administer the Web-enabled IUSS Logistics Database (WILD) that contains supply and configuration data on material as well as business applications and Microsoft maintenance actions in support of Navy 3M data collection to promote consistency and reliability of operational Naval equipment systems as a part of Lifecycle support efforts. This position works independently and as part of a high performing team of government and contractor personnel, with minimal supervision. Develop, operate, maintain, and administer the Web-enabled IUSS Logistics Database – an Oracle database which contains supply and configuration data on material as well as business applications, and a Microsoft (MS) “dot net” front end that enables system access by fleet users who enter supply and maintenance actions in support of Navy 3M data collection.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:



  • Support and/or install software applications/operating systems.

  • Participate in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of software.

  • Be familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.

  • Be relying on your experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

  • Perform a variety of complicated tasks.

  • Work as an integral part of a high performing team, collaborating, writing, and communicating in English.

  • Be able to lead and direct the work of others.

  • Need a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Report directly to a project lead or manager.

Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:



  • Intermediate skills with DoD Configuration Management systems such as APLs, RICs, XRICs, WILD, CDMD-OA, 4790-CKs.

  • Knowledge of NAVSEA 4130.12 NAVSEA Configuration Management Policy.

  • Samiliar with applicable Information Systems, IT systems and devices and US Navy policy for IT/ Cyber Security.

  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team, including leading small project teams to complete assigned projects.


Minimum Qualifications:



  • US Citizen, must be legally authorized to work in the US

  • Bachelors’ Degree

  • Secret Clearance

  • Minimum of three (3) years Software Engineering experience

  • Two (2) years in aggregate experience with: MS.DOT.NET & Oracle Databases ASP.NET VB.NET JavaScript SQL


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Bachelors’ Degree in Engineering or Computer Science

  • Experience with US Navy Life cycle or In Service Engineering Activity support, preferably with IUSS systems/components

  • Prior US or other service Military Configuration Management software experience
