In support of the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Program (CDMRP), Science Officers (SOs) will support the administration of Congressional appropriation grants which foster novel approaches to biomedical research in response to the expressed needs of its stakeholders; the American public, the Department of Defense, and Congress. Science Officers will support grant negotiations, milestone tracking, contract modifications, publication reviews and patents. They serve as the primary point of contact for the funded investigator, acting as a liaison between the investigator and the contracting, regulatory, and other military sponsors. Summary:
The Logistics Specialist is responsible for validating the IT equipment and accessories for the Remote Piloted Aircraft Squadron Operations Center (RPASOC) program as they enter the warehouse. The Logistics Specialist will work hand in hand with the Procurement Manager located in Herndon, Virginia to ensure accuracy of orders processed and the Bill of Material (BOM) listings are updated. This position will also utilize their logistics skills to manage and process items received into the ALMSS inventory control database as well as being able to operate all material handling equipment.
Work is performed in a semi-temperature-controlled warehouse on concrete floors where there is exposure to moving vehicles, noise, dust, and cramped spaces. Work involves a significant amount of standing, walking, bending, and lifting (up to 70 lbs.). Frequent use of computer terminals is also required, as well as occasional work outdoors in all weather conditions. Tools used in this occupation: materials handling equipment, forklifts, pallet jacks, work area will be free from debris, dust, liquid spillage, and food particles. Maintains all workspaces and in a clean and organized manner.
